Laxman Dominates the Aussies once again

Yet another Laxmans' show against the mighty Aussies, he let his bat do all the talking to cease the critisism against him. An unbeaten 200 from just 301 deliveries with 21 boundries. At stumps day 2 the Aussies where 50 for no loss in reply to India's 613 for 7 declared.

Anil Kumble should be a very pleased man to see his men put up a great show after he won the toss and elected to bat, earlier a double ton from Gambhir followed by Laxman. One gets a feeling that India came up with a very late declaration, probably A.Kumble had different ideas he just wants to bat once, will 613 against the aussies be enough?

Laxman seems to be loving the Aussie pace attack for this is not the first time he has reached or gone pass the 200 mark, he has done it earlier against the Aussies in 2001. Any cricket follower would never forget that innings where he made 281 to save the match paring up with R.Dravid.

Ponting badly missed a quality spinner, particularly when touring the sub-continent. B.Lee, supposed to be lethal weapon wasn't effective, he just made a very early break through by sending V.Shewag back to pavilion. Its not often that you could see Ponting using eight bowlers in a test match, which includes the skipper himself.
Is this marking the down slide of the Aussie's domination of world cricket for more than a decade??
